Citric acid is used as a preservative and can be added to jams and bottles fruits/vegetables. It can also be used to make cheeses and vegan nut based cheeses.
A Citric acid cleaning solution can be made with ½ – 2 teaspoons of this powder in 1 cup of water. Use this solution to clean kitchen sinks, windows, shower screens and surfaces, (we recommend doing a test spot first to check the surface won’t be adversely affected). Spray on to the surfaces and leave for 5 minutes before wiping off. Glass can be wiped off after 2-3 minutes. The citric acid powder can be sprinkled directly onto baths, toilets, or the floor of the shower.
To clean or descale your dishwashing machine add a couple of teaspoons to your detergent and run a cycle.
